From 10th to 31st December, the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG) will embark on the Fast of Daniel — a 21-day journey of spiritual focus and renewal. This fast is inspired by the prophet Daniel, who separated himself from worldly distractions to seek God wholeheartedly. The Bible states that from the very first day Daniel set his mind to gain understanding and humbled himself before God, abstaining from his comfort life, his prayers were heard.

In the same faith, we silence the world to hear the voice of God. As we approach the end of the year, this fast is an opportunity to realign our lives with His will and prepare for a new year filled with His Spirit. Remember this fast is not about food! It is a spiritual fast! We shall be abstaining from all secular entertainment, social media, and worldly information, choosing instead to feed our minds and hearts with God’s Word, prayer, and uplifting messages. “Lord, not the world’s will, but Yours be done in me."

Faith as small as a Mustard seed is enough to achieve the Impossible. People tend to relate the size of achievements to the size of their faith. In other words, seemingly large problems require an equally large faith to be resolved. But the Lord Jesus completely demystifies this idea; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. (Matthew 17:20 NKJV). Jesus never condemned those who have little faith, nor did He say that little would be given back to them. However, no matter the size of your faith, for it to be effective, it must be based on the Word of God. This is the faith that God seeks, the faith that does not waver on what His Word says. It is this faith that leads to salvation.
